Default Water leak in heavy rain - passenger floorboard

As the title says. I've got water making its way into the passenger footwell when it rains. Lifted a rubber mat earlier and water dripped off it, so it is pretty soaked. Rubber seal around door looks good. If it ain't one thing it's another. No it's not coolant. Definitely water and definitely after a rain. Haven't been using AC.

Thanks

Got a hose that's not frozen? Spray down the windshield. I've had a windshield seal fail that let water in behind the dash and onto the floor.

Also check further back on the floor, it might be running in around the rear window, and just pools in the front footwell. It IS the lowest point after all.

Also, check the drain for the HVAC system for gooky stuff (<------fancy technical term) plugging the hose the lets the water out that rolls off the windshield.

So the AC drain is not just for AC?

I have a possible method for finding the leak... but you may not like it. Take a garden hose sprayer bottle, drop some UV dye in it and some water. then spray onto the various areas you suspect as to being the leak and look for intrusion with the UV flashlight. Downside is you may have risidual UV dye on paint that may take time to get rid of.

Offered this up to my youngest daughter to help find a leak on her passenger side door, she wouldnt buy into it lol.

Smart girl. I think I can see the water all by itself... no dye needed. I'll try spraying with the hose.

the point of the dye is to leave a trail as to where it is coming in at. and you cant see it w/o the flashlight.

hummm I wonder if a truck had a blown head gasket and had the dye in it, if a UV flashlight were attached to the exhaust exit I wonder if it would glow green?
