Spark plugs

Default Spark plugs

I replaced the plugs an noticed this stuff on the side of 2 .Is it just crud from fuel additives ,an what does that possible mean on how its doing.Its tan looking.
Also ,do you recommend Champion,NGK,Autolite?

Well the dark stuff on the threads might be oil from a leaking valve cover. The white buildup on the electrode I'm not sure though.

Ash deposits. Either from oil getting in there, or some fuel additive. Or, simply low quality fuel.

i changed back to the NGK ~~ no more hesitation👍
Ill NEVER use autolite on the dakota EVER again.,an im not fond of champion either ,...besides ,the autolite is longer an caused some weird hesitation as you sit at a light..
An that slight lifter tick[ common in these trucks ] is gone now too after cleaning out the throttle an IAC -deeply ,- along w plugs an rotor/ cap .
