Default PLEASE HELP! power steering high pressure hose fittings?

HI folks, I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota sport 4.7L RWD Has anyone had this problem before? Trying to replace my power steering high pressure hose, but every site I look at that will fit my truck the fitting on the end is different. My old hose has a swivel type fitting but all the new hoses out there are a flare type fitting. will this flare type work? I attached some pics below

my old fitting- tampered end

new flare type

Might be just the difference between OEM, and aftermarket manufacturers. It's still just the o-ring that makes the seal. See how much they cost at your local parts store, and if they will price match...... (mine will, but, I have been going there for 30 plus years too.....) If it doesn't fit, much easier to return it.

All saginaw fittings have that outward flare. Yours is backwards and I can't for the life of me understand why. Yours almost looks like a 37* JIC flare, but JIC doesn't usually use an O-ring.

Did you end up figuring it out?
I have the same problem and air is leaking in somewhere making it whine really bad and the flared end of the new hose I have doesn’t seem to fit into the pump I got because the pump seems to be more rounded and the o ring doesn’t make a seal.

I want to sell my truck so any tips would be great.
