Default Ignition switch issues

I recently purchased a 2000 Dodge Dakota 4.7 liter 4x4 automatic transmission, that was stolen a while back and wrecked. The had replaced the ignition switch with a Dodge one but not the right one. The truck was running, on their riggings. I purchased a new proper ignition switch. The problem I was seeing is 1 of the wires is burned up. I hope I can explain this well and someone can help me. The main connector that plugs into the bottom of the switch is fine. There are 2 more connectors on the sides of the switch. I watched a video of a guy on Youtube changing his out, it was on a Durango. One of the side terminals had a yellow and a green wire with red stripe. This was the two prong connector. I have those wires mine are yellow with white stripe and green with red stripe. I couldn't tell on the video if his had stripe on the yellow. On the video the 3rd connector, which is a 4 pin connector his wires were, blue and red. Even though it's a 4 prong connector there is just 2 wires. In my wire bundle the burned up wire is sky blue and the other wire is black. Does anyone know what the two wires of the 4 prong connector are for? I'm hoping maybe I can find out and run a separate wire in place of that sky blue wire to whatever it controls. Here are some pics of my new switch to maybe give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

The light blue and black wires are for the key-in switch.

The Durango does use different color codes.

Thank you, I downloaded the 2000 Dodge Dakota Service Manual. I found the Key in Switch diagram. It says the light blue wire is Circuit G26 20LB. I'm assuming LB is Light Blue and 20 is the gauge of wire. I think my next step is to figure out how to locate G26 in the wiring schematic section to find out where that wire runs to. Are these assumptions correct? I really wish I had an actual physical copy of this book and that they weren't really expensive lol. Looking at this kind of thing on the computer sucks, in my opinion. An actual book would be so much easier.

Is the Key in Switch important for the operation or is it just for the beeper when you leave the key in?

It's just for the chime when you leave the key in.

Black goes to ground. Light blue goes to the CTM pin 9 on Connector 1 (green connector).

Yes, 20 gauge wire.
