Default Ignition Switch AC Blower Short

For the last few months my AC blower started acting up so that it wouldn't always come on, but if I touched my ignition switch and jiggled it or turned it backwards just a little, it would come on. All other accessory items such as the stereo would work fine.

But the other day it just quit altogether. If I press the AC button it lights up and the compressor kicks in, but the blower itself won't come on. I've replaced the resistor and the blower motor in the past so I don't believe it would be those, especially since jiggling the key fixed it and it seems to affect all speeds.

Also, I can now turn on the compressor on with the button even if the selector **** is in the off position.

Any ideas? I've removed the steering column cover but everything looks ok as far as I can tell.

See where the blower draws power from. (need wiring diagrams) I *think* there is a switched ignition circuit for that... see if power gets weird there.

I actually figured it out yesterday. Opposite the ignition switch there's a plastic box that I guess is what engages and disengages power for things as you turn the ignition. If The blower doesn't come on I can grab that and flex it just a fuzz and it'll kick in. I haven't taken it off yet, but my guess is that there's some slop at the interface between that module and whatever rod there is that actuates it when you turn the key. I'm gonna take it off and see if I can't just pad it out with some tape or something, or worst case scenario just replace it.
