Ive been trying to get my brakes bled right on my 2003 dodge dakota. And I've been having trouble. I had to replace the rear line and the system went dry. I only get spurts of fluid out of the front bleeders. And I can not locate any bleeders in the rear. I have zero braking capability. Does it seem right for the rear calipers not to have a bleeder. Do I have air in my ABS system.

 

The rear calipers DO have bleeders, you just Havent found them. They will be on top of calipers somewhere.....

 

Could the bleeders on both sides be broken off.

This is how I bleed my 2003. Two man method is great too, assuming you have the help.

 

Sorry its too hard to get a good picture. It probably is broken off I just thought it weird htat both sides were broken off. I questioned if their was some auto bleeding method that I did not know about.

 

Nope. Gotta be able to release the air from the system somehow.. You *might* be able to extract the broken bleeders, and just replace them, but, for the 'hassle factor', simply replacing them is generally MUCH easier.
