Default Weird Crank Position Sensor Problem

Hello there

In need of help. Trying to fix the stepdaughter's Dakota V6 Manual that ran fine 2yrs ago but then blew the throw bearing...her father couldn't fix it after 2yrs of trying so I'll replace the clutch but need to get it back to mine (I can drive without a clutch)

When I connect the Crank Position Sensor, the starter cranks maybe an 1/8th of a turn and stops.
When I disconnect the Crank Position Sensor, the starter cranks away but there's no spark.

What is this about?

Found the problem...broken ground lead on the passenger side of the engine. Full crank and full start.

Posted as FYI in case someone else has this problem

Thanks for the reply 'HeyYou'
