No bus crank no start issue on 02 Dakota 4.7

No nothing but ABS is flashing, and it's a black oval plastic part key. I do have a key fob with remote start as well, so not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Ok, so it isn't a chip key....Wonder if the new PCM thinks it should be?

I think you're right cause I got a fancier scanner and it showed a No SKIM BUSS error. I'm assuming that PCM came off a vehicle with security feature. So I guess I have to flash my VIN on it for it to work.

Not sure that will work.... I don't think skim is something you can turn off, once it has been turned on...... Might wanna have a chat with whomever you got the PCM from.

I did and they said once I flash the vin it'll work We'll see when I get it back.

What they actually said a skim delete will be required prior to flashing a new VIN which they said is part of that process. So idk.
