id try having a charger hooked to battery and see if it stays running.
Ok, I tried having the charger running while idling. I put some fresh gas in it. Exhaust doesn't seem clogged (started it on a cold day and saw normal condensation coming from the tail pipe). Nothing helped. Gas light is on although I know there's at least a quarter tank... One time the gas gauge showed over a quarter tank and the other time I tried to keep it running, the gauge was on E... Not sure what that means. IDK what's going on...

Put a pressure gauge on the fuel rail. There is a convenient schrader valve for just such an occasion. If you don't have one, you can rent one from your local parts store.
Try the cheapest fix first! Go in the under-hood fuse box and try swapping out the fuel pump relay with another. There are many identical relays, I suggest the trailer relay, if you have that. If that's the issue (it was for me and I was convinced that my pump was a goner based on mileage alone), then just replace the relay.

I'm resurrecting this post. I gave up for a while and didn't have time to mess with it but now I'm trying again. Here's where I'm at: Truck will crank but not start. I put a fuel pressure gauge on it and it read zero, YET, it fired up for a second (what the hell?). I took off the gauge and manually pressed in the Schrader valve and one tiny drop of gas came out so I know I had it hooked up to the right place. Is it possible the truck could fire with even a tiny amount of gas, even vapor? Again, I can hear the pump kick on... Can it be kicking on and making noise and just not delivering fuel? I've read that the filter and the fuel pressure regulator are all inside the fuel pump. I don't know if I can drop the tank but I might be able to take off the bed, however, it seems like the fuel pump is closer to the cab then the bed of the truck.... I wonder if I could have access to it after taking off the bed? Last thing, the battery is weird. It and the alternator both tested good when I took them to autozone. But chat GPT said a battery can test good and still be bad when under load. But there was obviously enough juice to get it going for a second... I wonder if that could cause the computer to not send fuel.
