Default 2003 Dakota Wiring Conversion

I have a 2001 Dakota SLT 2WD , 56k miles currently bought new, but due to salt the frame joints have blown out, and due to falling bridge debris it now needs a windshield and more, Looking at getting a 2003 Dakota SXT 4X4 with a blown motor, Can I move the Cruise control , power lock and power window wiring and modules to this even tho my current truck is not 4x4? Thanks in advance for reading, I'd Like to use as much from my Grandfathers truck on it as I can, as its the only gift I ever got from family in my life

Probably.
The 2001 and 2003 both use the same communications bus, PCI. Does the '03 have power windows or locks now?
If not, the power locks are tied into the CTM. If you hope to have the remote keyless you're likely looking at replacing the CTM as it sounds like you may have a base model.

The windows are controlled from the drivers door module and not tied into the CTM.
The cruise control servo should work. Are they the same engine or not? You may need to replace the cable on the servo. You can likely use the switches and clockspring.

A DRB, diagnostic tool, may be needed to enable the cruise.
Hope it helps.
