I'm buying a little 2.5, 5 speed Dakota sport which doesn't have a tachometer, instead just a big gas gauge on the left. I'm gonna buy an aftermarket rpm gauge, obviously I wire ground to ground, a hot line to the ignition and one to the dimmer. Just need to know where I can tap in to an rpm gauge. I'm sure there are a million people with the same question and I didn't need to post this but I couldn't find a thread. Anyways any help would be appreciated, thanks.

 

Depends on the tach. Some of 'em, you just hook 'em up to the coil.....
