I have 2 98 dakotas 1 is 2x4 and the other4x4 I’m trying to swap the 2x4 tail to the 4x4 tail am I chasing a unicorn here?

 

I believe the output shafts are different......

 

Im wanting to put (4x4 )pk52119513ac /3388 / 1029 tail on pk52119512ab /3339 /6019( 2x4) and then put the whole trans back in the 4x4 truck the shafts are the same length and teeth they are both 5.2 magnums

For the 46RE trans, they list the same output shaft regardless of the number of drive wheels, the 44 and 42 though, seem to be different, but, I can't find just what the difference is.... So, theoretically, that should work.
