Any decent quality oil filter will do.

 

Yes. Nothing wrong with OEM.

 

use hot shots stiction eliminator in the oil as well... it will clean the internals well. The pic below was taken the last time I did a valve adjust on the Ram... 500k miles on it, it is a diesel and it never looked that clean in the previous valve adjusts prior to using the HSSE
