Here in a few days im picking up a 3500 second gen for some truck build parts and it happens to come witha magnum v10. Now I know that the 5.9 1500 motor mounts bolt directly up to that motor and allow it to practically bolt into a first gen dakota. However, I was wondering how similar they were to the motor mounts on the 2nd gen dakota and/or if there are mounts that I could buy that would let it drop in (not including clearance issiues such as crossmember and oilpan.

 

I don't think the 8.0 will physically fit in a dak..... there just isn't enough room in the engine compartment. The 8.0 is a LONG motor......
