Question 1998 Dodge Dakota V6 Sport 3.9L - PCM

Does anyone know any good/ reliable PCM/ECU/ECM places, I have seen Flagship One, Car Computer Exchange, and Box stores like O'Reillys have them, only some come "pre-programmed" just looking for a reliable/cheap remanufactured one since OEM is not available anymore. Part number pulled off P/N 56046323AE. Thanks everyone !!

Get one from your local parts store. That way, if there is an issue, you can talk face to face with another human..... Be more than just a voice on the phone. You will need one programmed to your VIN.

I had a 2003 Dodge 3.9 4wd with no problems and it died. The mechanic said it was a bad pcm/ecm. I ordered one from Car Computer Exchange and it began showing codes which were not there previously. Sent it back and the new one was doing the same thing. Got rid of the codes by swapping new sensors but still in limp mode. The old computer just went out but never had codes and never went into limp mode. NEVER USE CAR COMPUTER EXCHANGE. THEY WERE VERY IRRITATED WHEN I SENT THE UNIT BACK. DID NOT SEND 2ND ONE BACK.
