Guessing I blew the rear axle. I see there is like 6 different possible axles to fit it (bolt size, brake size and ratio). Mechanic is closed for the weekend and I am searching for a replacement. But all paperwork (registration/insurance) is in the truck locked in the mechanics garage. What is the most likely rear axle assembly that might be in this truck?
If you have the vin type it in here it will tell you everything it has. I never leave something in a vehicle that can lead a thief right to your doorstep if it gets stolen or broken into.
New York State requires registration and insurance paperwork remains with vehicle at all times. I have to remember that idiot engineers make today technology and do not believe in "KISS" Keep It Simple Stupid. So that is why they need 6 different options for a simple little pickup truck.

These days, manufacturers are stuffing tech into cars/trucks just for the sake of tech. WHY does my window switch need to suggest to a computer that I want to move a window, and then the computer decides if it actually moves or not? The added levels of complexity are NOT making vehicles 'better', or 'safer'. The more complex they become, the less reliable they are, and the harder to troubleshoot/repair. Deal techs aren't 'techs' any more, they are parts replacers, that only hope changing some part fixes the problem. More often than not, it doesn't.
