Not trying to hijack the thread. Got most everything put back together except my ac - alternator with bracket. Also gonna replace the O rings on my injectors. They came with the upper gaskets so easy to change, The plenum gasket at bottom of intake looked good but replaced it because got one with the gaskets and seemed stupd not to replace it, The hardest part was setting the cast iron head down on the dowl pins without scrubbing the gasket. I used a long stud to help align it so it went down straight and tight without any sliding it around.
I'm very favorable to cast iron heads but they are heaver than aluminum heads.
I'm waiting on the rain to completely stop before I do more. The intake went on like a charm. Exhaust bolts also were fairly easy. If your like me it wouldn't hurt to take a few pictures and put the bolts where you know which ones go where and in a bag that's labeled if you are gonna take a week or so before putting it all back together. Also know the proper order so you don't have issues.....such as the intake bypass hose that can be a bitch if you don't put it on wile installing the intake.
Thanks -
I also removed the tires and fender underskirts for better access, Sometimes I'll remove anything that may hinder access to nuts and bolts.
