Default Installing foglight override

I got this kit for the foglights, when you switch to high beams the foglights go off this kit makes them stay on, to install you have to splice into the wires on the passenger side headlight behind the headlight and then tap into one of the wires going to the foglight it has a relay, ground and fuse so it looks pretty good but the directions are not that good for installing if anyone has installed one of these can you give me some details on how to get to the wires on the headlight like what I would need to remove to get in there and install this and any tips you might have....thx guy

Really you didnt need a "kit" (I hope you didnt pay more than 2 buck for it). In the headlight switch you can bypass the fog light cutout relay by jumping 2 wires. Basically 2 splice connectors and 4" id wire is all thats needed.

Heres the simple way to do it. (copied from another board)

First pull the headlight switch
Second, find the blue/black wire on the 14 pin connector
third, find the black/green wire on the 2 pin connector
forth, connect them with a short wire that is the same gauge.
(do not cut them apart)
fifth, tape them up, solder them, whatever you can, but make sure to protect them.
sixth, test it.
seventh, put it back together.

You have to pull the dash surround off (held in by spring clips and usually pops off if you give it small quick little tugs). Just be carefull not to twist the surround alot or it could crack. The light switch is held in by 3 screws. I've been meaning to do this to mine, but never got around to it.

Dont need to on my 98. The whole surround pops out. Just have to put the tilt in the lowest position. You may have to on 01 and newer but I havent touched those before.
