With that said, I would go for the exhaust first, IMO.
ok so i think im gonna do the exhaust. im gonna go with a flowmaster 40 series. i have a 3.9 2wd. what size pipe should i go with. i've herd alot of people on here talk about going with 2.25 with a 3.9l v6 but i measured the pipe on my truck and its a 2.5 should i just stick with the 2.5 or still go 2.25????
Well first off id go with the exhaust becasue all the lift will give you is 3 inches unless you got tires to go with that plus cost more and is actully alot more work then just putting spacers between the body and the frame. like relocating radiator transmisson, sterring and all that with extentions and stuff some welding bye the end that 300 dollar body lift just became dam near a grand. Why not go with 1 of the fabtech kits for the 2wd dakotas they got a 2inch and 3 inch lift kits they handel alot better and dont require as much hassel atleast in my mind espaicly the 2 inch kit i mean hell 2 inchs is enougth to get some 30s under her and thats just useing spindels and add a leafs!!. Any how back to the exhaust my friends got the 40 series on his durango hes got a 5.2 sounds very good.
id stick with the stock pipe 2.5. and get a 3 inch stainless steel slip over pipe tip. (bye the way if you go with the fabtech lift kits you need wheel spacers for your front tires if you stay with the stock rims but there only like 50 bucks a pop.)

bye the way nice littel truck you got there. what brand bed cover is that and about how much did it run ya? if you dont mind my asking. also what does that red toggle switch do on the left hand side under the light switch?
hey thanx for the comment bout my truck. u really think doing the body lift will run me close to a grand after all said and done? how much did ur fabtech kit run ya. i dont know the brand bed cover. it came with the truck and no were on there does it say the brand. so honestly i dont know lol. but it is pretty nice. and that lil switch. the guy that had the truck before used to be a volunteer firefighter and that lil switch controled his light up top. so it doesnt do ne thing now. maybe down the road i'll figure somethign to wire it up to lol. sorry i couldnt have been more help with the cover. i'll try and look into it and let ya know if i find out. but i love it. but back to the lift. do u think its more efficiant if i go with fabtech????

I hate to bring in the common sense factor, but, none of the above.

im fine with my college payments and all this is money i have set aside just for my truck. i love my truck to death. thats why i have a separate account for saving for my truck
in response to the lift heres the manufactors website its got the 2 inch and the 3 inch http://www.dogsofdesign.com/fabtechp...rango.html#app that should tell you all the good stuff you might be wondering. As for do i thinck its better. In my opinon yes i have done alot of research into it and i have heard many horror storys about bodylifts aspeacily when there used off road. Body tends to shift plus look wise it kinda looks dumb so high of the frame your rear bumper needs drop shackles and it can not be used to tow any more step bars look out of place on it and any kind of brush gaurd or anytihng else that mounts to frame will look out of place unless you prefab your own shackkles and what not. as for suppension lifts you dont have all that hassel and sometimes on smaller lifts it can actully improve the ride of the vehicle slightly. But if you lift it what size tires where you looking to increase 2? http://www.rockymountainsusp.com/dodge_dak_dur.htm here is another website that sell them theres pelanty more on the net just do a price comparsion there are sligthly more because they come with shocks. id say go with the 2 inch spindel kit its cheap easy and wont be hard to install. you can get 30s under the truck but you will need to get wheel spacers for the front rims but there only 75 bucks or so. i was goign to go with the 3 inch kit but i switched jobs and dont make the cash need to put such lovely thigns on the truck atleaast not yet lol. What you goign to college for?
