? about plugs
You can probably run good old copper plugs just fine. I'm running Champion coppers in my 3.9L and it runs fine.
What ever you go with (copper, platinum, iridium, or the silver Silverstone), don't get multiple-electrode. And, also make sure its the proper gap (0.040 in).

I agree with the copper plugs. I've tried every style from cheapo to exotic and never could tell any difference except when I tried Splitfires which were a total POS!!! I've had good luck with Champions and AC plugs.
Copper for power
Platinum for longevity
Iridium supposed to mix the best of both
And the others I dunno where I stand on them.
I use NGK plugs in imports and Champions in my trucks. I stay away from Champion Truck Plugs though, as I have ONLY ever broken Champion truck plugs. NEVER anything else, but three of them in one batch between my buddy and me. Somebody probably dropped the box and put hairline fractures in the porcelin, but it left a bad taste. You can get away with a bigger gap if you're running a hot coil though, but the plugs will wear faster.

i run iridium's because i wanted them. they made a noticeable difference in power on my sport bike and they come stock from the factory on any "fast" motorcycle. i had a set in my friends supercharged Pontiac GTP that lasted a very hard 70k miles before i noticed they needed to be changed, they were stock for that car. now I'm not saying that iridiums are going to make another 20HP and run 500k miles but i can assure you that they aren't a scam like splitfires. they do last longer then platinum and they have the potential to increase power. in my truck i did notice that it starts very easily and the throttle response improved (my bike did the same) but i doubt it made any noticeable increase in power. it really comes back down to money, are you willing to shell out $80-$100 on plugs? i did but i wouldn't be surprised a bit if you didn't think it was worth it

I tried to run bosch platinum plugs in my D and it didn't even want to stay running I have heard that copper is the only way to go on the Dodges and I am sticcking with that myself.
I've installed iridiums on my honda accord and I thought they were a whole lot better than spitfires. Quicker response, fuel economy ect. but motorheads at work say that copper plugs are equivalent to oem plugs. Basically I'm looking for increase in pwr output and fuel economy. I've installed cold air intake, flowmaster exhaust and next will be throttle body spacer. Thanks
