Default New to forum....

What up all. Just bought myself a Dakota 4X4 (actually my second dakota, first was an 04 2wd club cab) and started looking for upgrades, found this place. Great website with alot of good info. I have plans for an intake based on some of the posts here.

Couple questions:

1.) Anyone recommend a good suspension lift for a 99' Single cab 4X4? Most shops don't have any listed and the only kit I have found so far is a rancho kit.

2.) How does one go about removing the metal type decals? I want to remove ALL decals minus the hood emblem.

Decals removal = Heat Gun + Fishing line (and/or) a plastic scrapper of some sort.

Heat the decals up and they should come right off.

Thanks All for advice. I will try the heat gun tonight.

DakotaSport - I have the 5.2L V8.

The first few things I am planning are (next week or so):

Custom CAI w/K&N filter element
Flowmaster 40 series exhaust (probably 2.25 into single 3 inch side exit)
50MM P&P TB

Then:

FiberGlass body panels
Lift Kit + Wheels/Tires
visual accessories (new tail lights, clear fronts, air horns)
Custom Paint job

LIL - where did you get your air horns and did you install them? How hard was it? I can do nuts and bolts but electrical stuff hates me.

Thanks all, I am sure you will see more of me here.

THX. I have alot to do still. I will post pics along the way and for sure be asking some questions. I can't wait till next week when I put all the new intake and exhaust parts on, really wake up the motor.

ohhh its an Auto. I have to have something that the old lady can drive when (ohhh and I will) I wrap my dirt bike around a tree. She doesn't know manual yet and I wasn't going to teach her with my truck
