ok i was just woundering if a r/tengine can be swapped for a 3.7L engine. Ihave a 04 3.7L n i want to go bigger n faster. so i wanna see if it is possible. With the same tran, and what would i have to change if so.

 

hmm, ive heard of the 318s n 360s have been really easy to swap, bolt on like. but you have the new Chrysler 3.7L, immm pretty sure they use difforent stuff, so I dont know if they could swap V8s really easy and/or keep the same trans, someone on here might know but you should call a local shop and see what they tell you.

how much r you looking to spend? you'd probably be better off selling the 3.7 and get a year 02 and under R/T.

I've got to ask a question here.....seems like 50% of the posts on this forum are "Gee I got a teeny engine and I want a big engine. Can I bolt a big block Mopar to my 4 cylinder tranny?" Why the heck didya buy the I4 or v6 if you now want to convert to a V8 and (if you do it right) spend more on the conversion than buying a v8 Dak to start with? Also, seems like a lot more prejudice on this board now. I don't like rednecks, I don't like stupid cops, I don't like blah, blah, blah. Hi OldDodgeDriver, I am sorry if I offended you with my "riceball" comment it was not meant as a prejudice remark but I guess it can be taken that way.....kind of like the Southerner that displays the Rebel flag as being a proud symbol of the south when others will see it as a symbol of hate, I can assure you flying a rebel flag in California would get your shot hehe.....I do proudly wear my SJPD Supporter t-shirt (San Jose Police Department) as we lost a family member that was a young man with only 4 years on the force, gunned down by a third striker gang banger.....personally I have never been pulled over for speeding when I was not......that is why I don't speed....well not that much hehe...I guess my point is we all have our personal views and war wounds.....sorry again for the prejudice sounding comment (I was born a smartass)......but yes I do get my panties in a wad when I wear them to bed....that is why I choose to go naked.
