Default 2005 Dakota Water in Passenger Floorboard

I just bought this perfect condition (ha!) 05 Dakota. We're in Florida's rainy season and having daily deluges. The floorboard on the passenger side is sopping wet. I dont think it's AC related because it's only just begun with the heavy rains. I removed the side panel and pulled the carpet back and found a few rusted cracks in what looks like a thick painted-on coating on the floor. If I press on the area some water seeps up. Also there's a plastic panel along the upper part of the floorboard and water is seeping out from behind it (picture attached). Could the windshield (or something else) be leaking and dripping down behind the plastic or could the water be coming up through the crack in the floor from my tires as I'm driving...and wetting the rubber behind the plastic?

Any ideas on how to fix this are greatly appreciated.

Hard to tell with the small pic but I would say either door is leaking or a windshield seal has popped loose on you.

Check the engine bay real good with a very bright flashlight for any holes in the firewall and check the windshield wiper area real good especially were the HVAC box connects to that area

Look at the radio antenna cable and grommet it could be getting sucked down the cable through the grommet that may have a crack or hole in it.

With a 05 dakota I think you should be in the 3-rd gen Dakota forum not here

Thanks 98DAKAZ! I will try all your suggestions. Sorry about being in the wrong section. I haven't quite figured out how this works.
