Default Removing spark plugs

Hey I have a '00 4.7L V8 and it needs a spark plug change. Only prob...I can't remove the wiring to it. it's really weird, not like the wiring i thought it wld be. Can someone explain to me or show me pics or something? Thx for the help

What do you mean the wiring? Are you referring to the individual coils or the wiring the goes to the coils?

well...when I was looking for the spark plugs....I just noticed there's these plastic caps where the wire attaches to it...and then it goes straight down into the block...I figured the spark plug is there cuz it's lined up 4 on each side.

Those caps are the individual coils plugged into the spark plug down that whole. You'll need to removed the 10mm bolt that's holding the coils on and pull them straight up and out.

yea i got that part. nevermind, lol I got it. The only reason why I had a tough time is because apparently the 1st and 2nd cylinder spark plugs have the hardest boot to remove....all teh others were easy to take out. Thx tho

ok....for some reason im getting a check engine light. I checked all the connections, and everything is connected. Everything seems to be firing ok...I'm not stalling or anything. What could be a possibility?

Check and the code and then look to see what it means in the list in post at the top of this forum. All I can suggest is resetting your PCM and see if after your still getting it.

how do I do that?

ok nvm, i searched the forum. I turned the key on and off 3 times and apaprently it fixed it.
