hey guys not sure were to put this so i decided off topic wouldnt be the "wrong" place lol. im having trouble finding the color and location of the parking brake wire of my 99 dakota 4x4 can someone help me out?

 

look behind the brake its self. their should be a single wire. plugged in the back.

 

you mean the E-brake or the foot brake? i found the foot brake wire but im not sure were to look for the parking brake wire. in my exp. it could be anywere on cars and trucks now and days lol

 

yeah, are you hooking up a in dash screen, i did one of those the other day. and you have to hook a sensor to the E brake, so the screen thinks that your completely stopped before it will let you view anything video.

 

ya my screen is giving me some problems and this is the only wire i cant find so you say its on the e-brake? what color?

 

If you're interested...if you just ground that wire, the screen will play at all times, whether the e-brake is on or not (hint, hint). All that wire does is carry the ground to the e-brake light so it grounds out and lights up when you pull (or push, whatever) the e-brake

yeah thats what i wound up doing, i got sick of the waiting on the screen to come on after i'd make the ebrake light come on.
