Default 01 cooling fan swap

Would it adequately cool if I removed the clutch fan and hooked the auxillary e-fan to a temp switch?? I figure the reduced drag would free up some power and give up a litte mpg. Has anybody done this??

yes it's been done, you just need to make sure you have enough cfm flow to keep up with your motor. duals are the way to go and you want to have a controller IMO and not just a switch. you also need to make sure you get a puller and not a pusher to mount inside the fan shroud (or make your own). summit racing sells a shroud kit for duals up to 12" IIRC...

here's one that i've been looking at for my CTD...
