Default PLOWING

Hi
I have a 99 3.9 4x4 and was contemplating putting a plow on for the winter to do my driveway. The driveway is about 75yards of .25 gravel, so the snowblower is out. Just wanted to ask if anyone has a plow on their 3.9 and how it works and the like? Or I might just go and buy a used full size already equipped with the plow. Thanks

Tinmann

I wouldnt recommend plowing with anything less than a 3/4 ton 4x4. But instead of buying a full size truck, ever thought about a work quad with a plow attachment? Their plows a re easier to store over summer than a huge 8' plow.

Hey thanks for the info guys. I will look into the 3/4 ton b/c I don't really have the room to store the quad inside.

i completely agree about the atv plow. i have on myself and it works great. granted if it snows like all hell let loose then u might not be able to do the whole 75 yards with like one pass but it'll still get the job done. plus u can take the plow off and rip around on it then. thats always fun

A shed costs about $1000 for a 8X10 which would be more than enough.

Plow Truck...This is the plow truck for my cabin in the UP, it has been for the past 5-6 years. Only thing is is it has a 5.2L. My dad plowed through I think it was around 2 ft of snow W/O a problem. Making a dakota a plow truck CAN BE DONE.
