Default Keeping my truck

I've decided to keep the R/T...came close to selling it, but ill just start making double payments so I can pay it off in like a year..but anyway, I need some help, my truck is in need of some horsepower!! right now I have the full exhuast and cold air intake, what should I do next? I was thinking throttle body and intake manifold, any other ideas?

ps- whats the best throttle body and intake manifold to go with?

I would say a M-1 Intake Manafold and a Hughes/Fastman 55mm TB. I have the M-1 on mine im getting the TB as soon as i pay off my tickets. But with all the mods i have im looking at a 20-30hp boost just from the TB and Upgraded Intake. I have bigger injectors and im running rich if i can level that out with the TB and Intake ill have close to 300RWHP

user2006, can you get a dyno run before and after your tb exchange? i will pay for your dyno runs and stop talking about power mods if you get 20-30 hp out of a new tb. if you dont get the 20-30 hp, you have to stop giving advice to people about power mods and pay for a used tb off of a gen2 v8 for me. want to take a bet?

First of all what is your deal...

The man asked for parts, and i gave him some. M-1 and Hughes/Fastman TB. Both good, do you not agree?

Also if you would read what i said.. im not only changing the TB but the intake and getting my computer flashed, thats why im selling my programmer. With my cam and heads and bigger TB then stock with colder air... im looking at a big increase od what i have now.

When i got my truck dyno'd i was talking to the people and they gave me an idea of what i would get from a new tb ect with what i have already. Im running very rich you can smell it. lol, increasing thr air flow though and engine gives alot better performance. Isnt that one of the main things to think about when tuning an engine?

my tb is stock my intake is stock cept for the ram air intake tube, the truck has been camed with bigger headers.. useally most people replace the tb to get better air flow to help these to mods out, along with a comp flash and gears to match the cam.. thats what im doing... got it?

i have 266/388.6 right now. I just got a dyno about 2 weeks ago. I have a bit of tuning to do and im going to get another dyno after the TB and intake ect. I already planned on doing it so dont be a jackass virus.

im also getting another dyno once i get a S/C installed, but like always im going to need the money first. Hopefully in the next couple of months ill have enough to do all this.

Im about to buy some PS3's and sell them on ebay so that should give me some money to spend on my truck and runs.

I dont know why you are being such an ******* to me. Im just saying thats what im thinking to get out of it. Along with the people at Extreme Horsepower. We go there all the time, and my friend lives right next door to the owner so we get alot of info from them. I took some pics last time i was there ill post them later, no dodges but some Camaro SS and Vette twinTurbo. Its was nice, actually they had a RT Charger in there i didnt get a pic though and they where turbo-ing it.. some nice *** cars in there.

now adding the comp. flash? if you already had the programmer working on your motor when you dyno'd it, how much more of a boost are you expecting from flashing it?

how old are you and how many cars/motors have you built from the ground up? i am not out to shoot you down as a person, and i love to listen to and support people through projects, but you have to be realistic. i have done what you are doing many times before on cars from a 54 bel air to an 03 honda s2000. the reason i make comments negatively about certain things you say is because you need to look at dyno results from the past with products you are going to be using in the future.

now there you will be getting some nice numbers!

i think you are taking this all the wrong way. i think you came across a great truck and have even greater plans for it. i was simply putting a challenge out there because facts are facts. what i really think you need to do is stop insulting people and calling people names like we are in elementry school, take your dress off and end your little emotional tea party.

when i lived in detroit i worked at a shop just like you are describing. ever driven an 05 ZO6 pushing 21 lbs. of boost? i have, because i put my sweat (and more importantly my clients money ) into it, so spare me the "my friend lives next door to the owners" routine.

i think we have started off on the wrong foot for some reason. if i have made comments that you feel deserved your name calling, i appologize. i am here to help and i am excited for you and your truck. just keep in mind that the reason this whole thing started is because i was pointing out facts, not insulting you as a person.

sorry for the nasty taste in everyone's mouth, it reminds me of a line from dane cook's last cd: "wow, we've got a great vibe in here right now; it's like daddy just hit mommy at the dinner table. just eat your beans honey, mommy's fine"

no body gives a **** about you driving a z06 vette w/ 21lbs of boost. vettes are a joke anyways.

and with the mods already on the truck. their will be a more significient incresase in horsepower and torque with the throttle body vs just a throttle body on a stock motor. more air flow is the key source working with all of his other mods.

it might not be 20 to 30 hp like the overpaid old guy told us. but it will be more then if he was to use a stock motor with the throttle body upgrade.

nobody is in elementry school here
