throttle body spacer
Yes, people are using them.
Yes, they wasted their money.
Yes, they might tell you they're worthwhile, but that's because they're too embarrased to tell you they're morons for spending the money.
No, they don't help on a multi point fuel injection system.
No, you won't see any gains.
No, you shouldn't buy one.

I have heard the same thing from everyone I talked to, and everyone in every thread about throttle spacers say it is just a waste of money. I haven't heard anyone except the companys selling them say anything good about them.

the throttle body spacer thing has come up before and everyone generally says it's worthless, I think however those are relating to the 3.9/5.2/5.9 motors which use the keg style intake manifold where there is a chamber to draw air from. that would totally make sense that it doesnt work, however my thought is...
has anyone tried one on a truck with an M1 intake?
what does the intake look like on the 4.7's? anyone have a pic?

i dont think it would make a difference, as the tb spacer only helps if it is placed after fuel/air mixture. see results, not just opinions.

ah, the link text makes sense... my thought was that since the M1 is a straight shot to the head it may help with the intake charge velocity and also have a cooling affect that goes along with it. one thing they dont show is the dyno sheet for their test truck. it would give an indication of what is being gained/lost along the entire rpm range. some mods will take away from the top end but give to the bottom end. great example of this is the sheet on this page.

although the top end difference is minimal, the low/mid-range is awesome. I slapped one of these on my motor and could tell right away there was a nice boost below 2k. have you seen any dyno sheets on them? although I dont have a gas motor any longer, I just like to know what's what out there and this has been a black hole for me until I read this thread... caught an intereste in it.
