In his defense my 1999 has the MTX speakers. Dual 10's, the seats still fold and there's a spot for the jack and tire iron

But yours is not a quad cab, is it? Quad cabs (like his and mine) only get a single 10" and it goes behind the back seat. Extended cabs are totally different, yours goes under the back seat bottoms, does it not?

You can sit in it, but you can't flip the bottom up for the cargo space. I SPECIFICALLY asked this question of one of the guys here who sold one of these and he said straight up that you CAN fold the seat up, which is wrong. The box completely fills the space where the seat back slides when folding the bottom up. It goes up ~1" or so.

Sound quality is decent. It's not a 12, not low and rumbly, but it does hit hard. I'm running a Phoenix Gold XS2500 so I'm overpowering the poor little MTX sub by quite a bit, but I just keep the gain turned down.

Here in WA it's illegal to have loose speaker boxes inside your car that aren't bolted down, thanks to some girl who got her head crushed by a sub enclosure in an accident.
Well I think that a 10' is probably fine for me; I don't listen to a lot of bassy rap or anything; mostly GNR and Van Halenish rock.

i listen to rock also. van halen, ACDC and some alternative. currently i have my amp at about 20% and the deck on -2 bass. a pair of 10's is overkill in that tiny cab but hey they came with the truck..
