I think my chain is loose. How do i check and replace my chain? Is it hard to do? What tools would i need? Thanks for the help guys

Personally never done it but here a link from 4x4trailhunters.com. It covers more than you need but should give you a general idea. Its from a Cherokee but jeeps use the NP-231 also. You could also check for info on Jeep boards. They tend to get into this more often.

I have ripped apart many NP231's on Jeeps to do slip yoke eliminator kits. Keep in mind, IT IS ALUMINUM, there are two little grooves on each side you can slip a small flat blade into to split the case. Take the front yoke off and the snap rings and it all slides out. Its pretty simple.
