RE: D.O.T. Approved headlights
if there is a bulb still in there then take it out and go look, i think the ones i used was silverstar 884ms i think they cost about 20 each at local car parts store. I got mine at o'reillys.
And ya to turn on the fogs, pull the light swtich, i useally use them at night for extra light, it also gives your truck a more aggressive look. so i useally always have mine on.

Yay my fog lights do work. But I am not sure which number to believe for the bulb number on the tip of the bulb it says 881 and under it is 179. Then i pull out the socket thing and the thing says GE 899, so I beleive it is eithr 881 or 899.
Acording to sylvania here it is the 899 (my truck is a 2000 Dakota) Then you go here and they say the 880 replaces the 899 so my guess is I need the 880 bulb.

Does anyone have any opinions on the new silverstar ultras? (besides being blinded by them) do they really do what they say? I guess I should know this as I work at a Canadian Tire at the Autoparts Counter... But I'm a student and can't afford totry out every product personally. They should just gives us a free sample to try! :P
