I'm looking pretty hard at this little dark blue 2wd regular cab dakota v6. I'm a little curious: have you guys been able to pack subs in these little trucks?

 

Yes.. check my gallery i have 2x 10" Apline Type Es With a 400wat amp under my pas. side seat with 4g wiring. It hits hard, my radar dances on my windshield and my review mirror and side mirrors are no good anymore everything is a blur.

I work at Best Buy. We have truck boxes that we sell there for like 80 bucks a pop. You can get them at crutchfield also. They only fit 10's though, if you want 12's you need to get low profile subs, they take alot more power but lots less space and air space, i know pionneer makes some badass low pro subs..

But yes it is possible, and it does sound good, 12s in a single cab would be over doing it, 2x 10's is pushing it.. with that little air space, 10's sound great.

 

I hope the Best Buy you work at is better than the one around here. Took my car to get the stereo put in, quoted me 2 hours... 5 hours later I'm rollin out with 4 of my 6 speakers working. My mom took her 2006 Dak there 1 year later to get her Command Start put it, they quoted 3 hours... 5 hours later she's rollin out with the Command Start half installed. Goes back when they tell her to and they have no clue why she's there or what she needs, so after some yelling the Command Start components were removed. Sorry, that's my rant. And in my mom's 98 Dak she havd bfore this one, it was a reg cab and you could fit 2 10's behind the seats.

 

I've got Similar but i have a Type-R 10 with a Rockford Fosgate Bd.500 with 4 infinity kappa speakers. Deffinitly kick ***.

 

Sounds like most the best buys here also, pretty incompetent. Just have1 10" Fosgate behind teh drivers seat in my reg cab. Its PLENTY. And I can still get my jack out if I need to without tearing teh speakers boxes out. Put some 5.25"separates in with 1 sub and 2 amps and enjoy.

I found a few on autotrader that I'm going to check out. The only problem is, I need to wait for my tax return to show up.

 

wow, you guys were able to fit your amps under the passenger seat??? did you have to remove it? I've got an Eclipse 600watt amp and it's about 12" by 12", I had to cut the storage area under my back seat to hide it. I've got bazooka (gift from my wife) but I'm planning on making a custom box to hold either some Eclipse titanium or some Infinity subs.

 

in a SC? How the hell did you get that 10 to fit in a truck box? Cut out the back? Let me know, becuase i cant fit 10 rs in the truck boxes i have but if i can then ill do that... lol.


lol 2 hours for a deck.. we quote 30min-1hour.. fords i can do in less then 30.. most of the time max is 1 hour, speakers are a bit of pain somtimes.. but if you had 6 speakers, you could of needed an amp bypass and thats why it took so long, but not 5 hours and all speaker should fo worked.. that bast buy you live at has ****y installers.

Yeah Worst Buy's here suck too. Kicker came out with a low pro sub this year as well. It's basically a CVR, but it's an inch or so shorter. 400W RMS. It's called a CVT. Kinda ugly, but hey if it works who cares. You could also build a center console that housed some subs. That's what I'm doing right now. Only 1 10", but you could fit more if you wanted. If it really comes down to it, just do a blow-through into the bed and put em in there.
