Default How to remove crankshaft pulley? (timing chain replacement)

I need to change the timing chain on my dak, i think the only trouble im going to have is getting the damper and pulley off. I need a special puller right? what kind of puller do i need? A generic one? any other things i should know?

the puller will come with bolts so no need to get any others. one suggestion is to bust loose the crank bolt before removing the balancer. 180 ft lbs of torque IIRC...

'97... i'll bet it's a 2 piece... pull off the pulley and then the balancer. IIRC 2000 & up got the new 1 piece setup.

No. Generally the puller will pull teh crank pulley off as well as teh dampener. (and it can be used on steering wheels also)
