shorty headers
sice there not ceramic coated, I would give them acouple really good coats of header paint. that will help them out a lil bit. I had flowtech headers on my 82 ram andthey rusted out in like 2 years. but as long as you keep them clean they should last a while.
i was thinking about painting them several times anyways with a high temp paint because they dont look coated really well but yeah i'll keep the road salt off of them. should have done that with my exhaust tips. *sigh* next set are going to be stainless
I have used a ceramic sray paint and had good succes in the past.
All I did was sprayed the header and put it into the oven for about 45 minutes. The header has been on my bug for over a year now and not rust. It does fade a little at the hot spots but still looks better than anything else I have tried including the high temp spray paint.
