Hey all, I'm trying to find the paint color code PR4 (poppy red). Just today I was at autozone and I was looking at their selection. They don't have PR4, so I tried to find the best substitute, so I grabbed their PR4 scratch fix tube and I found a spray paint color named "Aztec Red," and I compared the colors on the cap and label. Now I'm 17 and for some reason they don't let people under the age of 18 buy spray paint here. So I couldn't spray under the hood or anything. Has anyone ever had PR4 and tried to substitute here? If not, where can I get the correct paint can?

 

here, all I do is take the paint code into a parts store like NAPA and they mix you up a special batch of paint. it's expensive, but it matches.

 

hmm..well how expensive would a 4" x 4" area cost?

 

it's cheaper to buy a spray can. and I think it's like $25.

Yea I never heard of that either. When they told me, I just stood there staring...just thinking like wtf are you all on? Stop sniffing the spray paint!

 

yep, have to be over 18. they dont want to be responsible if you go free base the can and get brain dead from the fumes

 

yes but anyone can get braindead. I really gotta get this dent sanded, bondoed, primed, and painted.

well it's been there ever since I got it. Previous owner did something. It's very offsetting from the rest of the truck :\ I can't wait til it's fixed...such an eyesore
