Speedo stops as in your govenor kicks in and you cant go any faster, or it just stops working at 90?

If its the govenor then i know a couple of ways. 1 you can go to a shop and have them use a tuner to lift your govenor, 2 you can buy a programmer for it and lift it up to 115-128 or w/e depends on programer and such, or you can turn the key to on while your driving and it will bypass the govenor, (not good for your truck) but it will let you go past 90mph.

What do you mean you "know it's rated 120"?

If you mean it's got a 120 mph speedometer, that doesn't mean it can actually do 120, it just means the speedometer is marked up that far, just like you could put a 10k rpm tach in and you wouldn't magically be able to turn 10k rpms.

Most cars are like that. they put 200 on my moms eclipse but it only goes to 120 till the gears run out.

On my dakota r/t it goes to 115 out of 120 (stock)

Ford Ranger i thnik it was 120 also it only went to 90 lol..

There is ways to get past that 120, when i had my hypertech i got up to 128-130 needle past 120 lol. Its nice crusing at 130 down a wide open road.

no... i chip will not.

You have to get a programmer, Superchip programmer, Hypertech, ect..

They left you lift the govenor to about 130.. not take it off, if you want it off then you have to get a custom flash.
