also an off duty can pull you over, they would have to wait however for a on duty officer to issue citations etc this is the same for officers out of jurisdiction, doesn't matter they can stop you, they just have to have a officer from the jurisdiction that you are in issue the citations...

and drag racing doesn't need radar. 6 points here... and typically an impound.

Here in Pa they don't have to show you the radar anymore. They used to have to show you if you asked. It was passed in law that they no longer have to do that. Thats why I like my CB though. Most of the time I get the word long before I ever see a cop sitting.

A cop cannot give you a ticket unless the radar locks you in.if he does not have it on the radar then he cannot give you a ticket. thats why I always ask to see the radar when I get pulled over. but it's been like 5 months, I think its a new record
This is not true. A police officer can "pace" you to get a speed for the violation. The judge will take the word of the officer for speed. I have seen it happen with my own eyes when I was in court.
Yep its true. My g/f is a VERY bad driver, she got a ticket for doing 55 in a 40 the ticket said "paced" so the officer guessed the speed, what the sad thing is, my g/f car is a 5 speed and she was in 2nd she never goes 55 in 2nd. So the cop was full of ****. She still had to pay the fine. Got to love cops.

sounds like to me the cop was just a lil pissed because you can go out and screw around and may pay a fine, but if he does it he stands to lose his job. the way i c it have fun and let the cops cry lol.
