Default Lighting question

I just picked up a 2004, 4x4 slt. When I open the doors, no lights come on. I have looked, can not find anywhere in the door jamb where I am used to seeing a button type thing ....nothing. When I click each light, front and back, they work. Open the door, nothing..any thoughts on this? Is there some kind of sensor? Thanks

If you have the "Premium" version of the truck, the door sensor is part of the latch/lock mechanism....

Supposedly, fuse 9 in the junction block is the power source for those.

Ok, what is the premium edition? This truck has electric seat, thermometer and compass over head. When I bought it I looked up the build sheet, it was listed as the SLT plus. Thanks again. Oh, I am guessing by junction box you are referring to the panel by the drivers door?

I would expect that your is indeed a 'premium' version.

Yep, that would be the correct box.
