my tuck had a flowmaster and it rusted out so i put a magnaflow on it and i only went with single and i regret it? If i took it back down there and had them put a y pipe after the muffler and put duals how weak would it sound?

You probably still will not be happy. The flowmaster is a chambered muffler while the magnaflow is straight through. I love the chambered sound but have tried numerous straight through mufflers based on recommendations. I finally went back to the Flowmaster 50 and am happy again.

I had magnaflow duals on my 5.2 and loved it for a little bit. Then about 2 years later I ditched it all and ran a foot of pipe off my cat and thats it. It sounded good!.

Sorry got sidetracked what I also wanted to say was it will sound different. When you do a cat back duals the muffler just has 2 openings instead of 1. If you add a Y it will change some. Just go on ebay and order a si/do magnaflow muffler. You can get one for around 60.00.

Put it on craigslist. You never know you might be able to make your money back.

Put a Y-pipe on and see how you like it. If it doesn't sound good, buy a dual outlet muffler and you can reuse the dual tailpipes. You never know, it might sound fine.
