Parts for this truck are near impossible to find and i need to find a replacement exhaust from the cat and back that is cheap FAST. I found a Dynomax Ultra Flo 19428 that is cheap, and going by videos isn't loud enough to fail inspection. HOWEVER, every damn exhaust on this truck is for the mega cab only. Can i get it to fit on a quad cab slt 140 wheel base truck?

 

Why not just visit your local exhaust shop, and have them bend something up for you? Or just repair what is already there?

 

I need a new muffler and everything behind the cat as its all rusted and the labor costs for that would exceed the cost of doing it myself is why. Mechanic wanted 800 to replace it due to their high end warranty parts man that is overpriced so i'm abit hesitant going to another shop and suffering the same.

 

Is there a Midas Muffler in your area? They should be able to do ya up for a LOT less than that.... Or an independent muffler shop? (we have a couple around here.)

Yeah, labor has gotten expensive in the last decade.....

 

Sadly no, all of them are custom performance exhausts with high rates or they will only use expensive parts no cheap user parts. I can get a megacab exhaust for 191 and none exist for a quad cab hence why i'm desperately seeing if they'll fit as otherwise i may need to scrap the truck. https://www.autozone.com/emission-co...25/1209903_0_0 is one part i'm looking at but i cant find any for a quad cab.

 

That one *might* work, may just need another short piece of pipe to account for the additional length of the extended cab.

 

A might is better than what I felt before. Might weld it if it's alil mismatched. It just needs to pass inspection and that's it, it's being given to a friend who needs it more than me as I'll be in a tuna can in the ocean for 6 years.

 

I'm a little confused by what you're dealing with here. I understand it as you have a 1500 quad cab short bed? All you can find is exhaust for a 1500 mega cab? The mega cab short box and quad cab long box share the same longest available wheel base at the time of their production, so any exhaust fit for a mega cab is not going to be to short for anything. One thing to consider is the megacab was all built as a 2500 chassis even the 1500 mega. A true 1500 chassis may use different bents twists ect ect, I cant be certain of that either way.
