01 dakota stuck in 4x4
Hey all- I bought a truck that had a broken front drive shaft. I replaced it and it stuck in 4x4. I checked the fuse in the hood, it's good. what else would make it stick in 4x4? It's a turn switch with three options- 2wd, 4H and 4L... any way to test the switch? I want to drive it but not if it's going to be stuck in 4wd...
TIA

I found a thread that said go fwd and bwd and it solved the problem for a lot of people but I must have done that a dozen times and it's still in 4wd...
I also found a thread about a transfer case control module... this is in the left kick panel under the dash, correct? I hear it clicking...

I have a Snapon Modus and I see no codes... there are also no lights on the dash and if the 4x4 is supposed to light up.. it doesn't...

ok, fuses in fuse panel are good, switch tests good, but i cant find the color coded wires leading to the module... I unplugged all three connectors and none of the colors matches the diagram from the switch. I'm going to have to do some more research but I hear clicking in the module... maybe it's trying to run something that isn't working?
