Default Making D's look "tougher"/"meaner"??

Hey Guys,
I am getting ready to start looking for a Durango 4x4. I have been a Dodge trucks guy for years, but have decided an SUV would serve me better right now. Here's my question, I like the looks of the 1st Generation Durangos better, and there is more available for lift kits etc for them, BUT I want something that I can drive every day for a few years and not have to worry about a lot of work/maintenance. So, if I get a newer (lets say '05-06' ish) Durango, what can I do to make it look tougher/meaner/less "soccer Mom"ish?? Has anybody made a lift kit yet for the 2nd gens. that is worth a crap? I definately want to be able to get at least 33"s on it. I'd like to do a lift, bigger tires, exhaust and intake, make some brushguards etc. The newer D's just don't look "mean" enough to me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, if anybody has any pics of their Durangos with similar mods? Trying to get a visual if I will like a newer D.

Thanks Guys,
Todd

Lightbulb I wish they made more parts for 2nd gen Durango's !

There is almost nothing out there, sorry. Lift kits?? Maybe a front end level kit at best. A standard brushguard everybody has one. I have been begging for a set of road armour bumpers, but they dont make anything for Durango's

Default 35" tires

I have an 04 durango hemi limited. I was able to crank the torsion bars up and put 315/70/17 the problem with it is that the back sits abouit an inch lower than the front

I read a review a couple days ago, I wanna say Motortrend wrote it. They were comparing the mid-full size 3seater suvs, Tahoe, Sequoia, Pathfinder Armada, one other, and the D. The writer described the new D's styling as "queer eye for the ram guy", which made me laugh and clinch my fists at the same time. But, thats ok. The D came in 1st in the comparison. (this is the 04 models btw)

I have an 05 D with the Ram wheels and tires 275/60/20 and Flowmaster exhaust. I did crank the torsion bars up a little, but I left the front an inch lower than the rear. I like this setup much better. The tires are a hair over 33".

Default Rims

Throw a set of RAM rims and tint the windows and a catback exhaust from Magnaflow
B4

AFTER

The white lettering is now turned in so picture the black walls and looks much better.....
