Default 4.7 vs 5.7

Newbie here, just had a question. I am looking at used Durango's and I narrowed it down to two, both 2005 SLT models only difference is one is a 5.7 Hemi and the other is a 4.7. The Hemi is a bit more money but my question is how much difference is there? Is it worth the extra $1000?

Thanks for any help you can give.

My honest opinion is the 5.7 hemi has more of a market value. There are more options readily availible for service/maintenance/aftermarket. While the 4.7 boasts better mpg the 5.7 is a better suited engine being that its a more common engine among the ranks.

Thanks for the replies guys, I guess I didn't realize the 4.7 was that far down on power. I do pull a trailer but I had a Jeep GC that had the 4.7 and it had plenty of power. I do agree the resale value of the 5.7 would be better but wondered about MPG and maintenance costs as well as the differences in the transmissions. If I read correctly the 4.7 has a 6 speed and the 5.7 has a 5 speed. Do you think this is part of the MPG rating of the 5.7?

Just trying to make an informed decision.

I had a 2003 4.7L and now I have a 2007 5.7L and I and quessing that my average MPG is about the same (heavier car with a more powerful motor compared to a lighter car with a less powerful engine). My wife has a six cylinder (do not know the litre) Trailblazer and I get better MPG than her by one gallon.

I have a 2005 Durango SLT with the Hemi. Has tons of power but expect about 13 mpg.
