Default Drivetrain thump

Hello everyone;

I have an 05 durango, 4.7 4x4/all wheel drive with 75,000 miles.
Since about 18,000 miles I have noticed a weird thump.
The feeling felt like I was getting bumped from behind by another driver. Over time I figured out that when ever i get off the gas pedal then press it again I would get the thump, like something loose in the transmission or drivetrain.
I fought with my local dealership many times, and many trips to the dealership as well as to another dealer ship, they keep comming back with that is normal on the D.
Went to a lemon law lawyer, but the judge threw the case out.
Does anyone have and suggestions or comments?

I had an old oldsmobile (no pun intended?) that when I shifted it out of park would put me through the windshield because of rotten/bad motor mounts. It would also "jump" if you pressed on the gas as the 'lil ole 6 came to life.....hope this helps,

crawl under truck and see if you have a broke shock mount or rear spring. getting on and off the gas will create the rear end to twist just enough to get the thump

All of which the dealer should have already looked at.

I do question the purpose of going to court claiming a lemon law. Stupid repair shop, yes. A lemon because you hear/feel a thump. I get the same thing on my Toyota FJ.

I went to a lemon law lawyer because there is definatly a problem and the dealer is giving me the run around.
I fought for three years now, and now i'm out of warranty, i'm screwed.
The lemon law lawer is free, they get there cut if they win.

I don't doubt you have an issue, however it doesn't rise to the level of a lemon. To tie up the courts with such actions for three years isn't any more correct than what the dealership is doing for/to you. There were always others dealers to turn to regardless of where you purchased the vehicle, no?

I went to the dealer ship so many times, they kept telling me oh we fixed it we had to change something. I drove away and still had the same issue.

one time they had my truck for four days, they said they checked everything, they saw and what I was complaining about but couldn't find the cause.
Finally they started telling me thats how chrysler designed the vehical.

so I went to another dealership, the tech came out with a paper that had my info, then he told me that that is normal.
I asked both dealer ships can i go out in another D to test.
I asked about four times, every time they did not have my truck, or the one they had was being worked on and could not be driven.
