Default 2005 Durango Roof Rack "inserts"

looking to mount Whelen lightbar to existing roof rack rail. Would like info on how to acquire "inserts" or suggestions on how to use the rail to keep the mounting simple. Would prefer to correctly use the part or piece that inserts into the rail and the ability to mount into the bar. Want/need to keep the bar profile as low as possible...

Thanks
Craig

After refusing to pay the extortionate price the dealer wanted for the OEM part, I attached two lengths of 3/4" square aluminum tube (painted black) from Home Depot to the rack with U-bolts! It has carried our loaded Thule thousands of miles on road trip vacations without issue. Also handy for carrying a canoe, the odd ladder or other unusual load that won't fit in the back.

I can get a picture in the morning if needed..

Sorry about that!

Just in time, too - it was a lease, no way I am paying what they want for it so we're turning it in next week. Of course, nobody at Chrysler Financial is willing or capable of making an intelligent decision. I'd gladly pay a fair price for it, we've kept it in good condition..

edit - well, so much for that - this forum doesn't let me upload anything above 19.k, I can't get the picture any smaller than that..

One last note - I took them off yesterday, as we are turning in the vehicle (lease).. they left no marks on the rails.
