I put on a set of Ranchos and also spend 95% on road. Wow, what a difference. The factory shocks are HORRIBLE. I also put a set of Ranchos on my Avalanche, EXCELLENT ride. Ranchos are the way to go and offer a very smooth ride and plenty of dampening. I would suggest them to anyone.

I have Bilsteins on my 07. It sees 99% on road and these are AWESOME. Much better than OEM. Feels like a completely different vehicle

Add another vote for the Bilsteins! They are as much an on road as an off road shock for a non modified suspension.

You can get a set shipped to your door for $250-$275 from places like shox.com or summitracing.com.

Install them yourself and save the extra bucks.

I also went with the Monroe. I'm happy with them. T Highway and city driving are very smooth. Must be twice the diameter of the stock shocks.

No matter what shocks you get, definitely do them yourself. They are even easier than my older 2001 Ram 1500, and I thought things got more complicated and harder the newer the car.
