Default Anybody have a clue?

We recently purchased an '07 Durango to accommodate our growing family. We've currently got 3 kids in carseats. Ideally, we'd like 2 kids in the 3rd row and one in the 2nd row, to eliminate awkward seat climb-overs. However, there is only 1 top tether anchor in the 3rd row, positioned behind the center seat. With the possibility of adding to our family in the next year or so, we'd have to have three carseats installed in the 2nd row, making the 3rd row practically impossible to access without opening the hatch and loading kids in that way (not the mention how we would tighten their seats from behind).

We know that dealers can install top tether anchors in models built before they were required. Does anybody know if they will do that for current models that already have some top tether anchors? We'd like to have two additional installed, on the outboard 3rd row seats.

I've called about 6 dealerships...most that I talk to repsond as though I'm speaking in a foreign language when I mention top tether anchors...they have no clue what I'm talking about. One recommended trying an after market tether (I can't even find any to research) and one offered to email Dodge to see what they had to say, though I haven't heard back yet. I've scoured car seat forums trying to find an answer, but there seems to be no info floating around out there specific to the '07 Durango.

I'm hoping somebody here might have an answer, or can at least point me in the right direction for who to ask next.

I have my two daughters (1 and 2-1/2 yrears old) car seats in my second row and I do not use the tethers as all. I just use the seat belt with a toll called a Mighty Tite that takes up the slack of the seat belt:

Hope this helps and good luck with your family,

I have an 06 and it has some hoops for a cargo net near the rear hatch that I used. It says not to but i do not think there is that much pressure or weight applied to them to not hold. I also figured it was better than nothing.
