Problem/Concern with Traction Control
Ignition Switch is changed - Security Device is removed.
Still experiencing the same issues
In addition, there must be an evap/emmissions issue as that problem has now caused check engine light and throws code P0440 Evap Sys Perf
Anybody know specifically what that is?
thanks!

so Im wondering if a ground problem could be causing this issue (not the evap thing) It does happen onoy when the body/chassis is rocking - no doubt i had an inginiton switch problem, and that may have caused some of the dash 'ghosts' which I dont see anymore, but as said, the original problem of the thread still occurs
Is there a diagram anywhere showing factory ground locations?

It could be as simple as the gas cap not placed corretly or an EGR valve needs replaced:

well still aint fixed! Removed the starter interupt fob that the dealer installed - this improved the ignotion issue. But still have the ESP traction Control Problem and GasCap Code - My Indy did a pressure test of the evap system and all checked out so I guess I need ot buy a new gascap - i dont want the locakble one - but the OEM isnt easy to find online - anybody know a part number?
now that ignition was replaced and starter interupt removed im taking it back to dealer to do more diagnostics for the ESP issue. Will report once i do
thanks for any help/advice as always

ok, old thread, but the saga continues.
Ive had the truck to 2 indys and back the the dealer this morning - none of them can diagnose why the ESP continues to engage when no traction issue. There is a Technical Service Bulletin about this very problem, but the dealer says the code needed to display for them to flash the ecm doesnt come up so they cant perform teh TSB as suggested.
They say this is happening now because of the oversize tires I have on the vehicle now.

I was having the same problem and took it to a local place. The ran a diag and found the Throttle Position Sensor was bad. After replacing it I have no reoccurring problems. Just a thought for troubleshooting.
