Talking Help durango 2004 hemi 5.7 limited



Hi brothers,my name is hugo ,im reynosa ,mexico
I have 3 questions

1-.that oil is good for my engine with 70.000 miles
2-.the engine sounds as if you fail the fan clutch, the noise is normal fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
3-.the engine sounds clap clap clap clap (possibly be the dumper?)

If you engine has the MDS system you must use 5W-20 oil,

MDS on 2004s? I don't think so FF.

sniper, have it checked at the dealer. Can't quite make out the questions. If is is seriously making bad noises, get it looked at professionally.

use 5w30 for oil...unless theres extreme heat then maybe 5w20.....
sounds like you mean the fan clutch is failling and making a loud humming noise- does it sound like that all the time or just went you start it up. If its all the time then could be the clutch is defected.

and have no idea what you mean by the dumper? unless you have a hole in your header or exhaust?
and i definitely know what JIJIJI means "HAHA"

temperature in reynosa (50 of/113 of) its ok 5w30 o 10w40?

just talk to a dealer then and see what they recommend. i have no idea what you mean by 50 of/113 of .. i use Celius degrees in canada..

sorry temperature in reynosa (50 farenheit % 113 farenheit) in celsius 10 and 40 grades celsius ,which I recommend for these temperature 5w30 o 10w40? regards

My fault, the MDS system was available on the passenger cars in 2004, but not on the Durango until 2006. I would use 10W-30 oil or your manual will tell you for a definitive answer,

Ok thanks so much brothers ,thanks fascistfaction : I will use 10W30, a brand that I recommend Mobil, Castrol or oil synthetic?
